SiteStudio Tutorial
 SiteStudio is Wizard-like program that allows you to create
professionally looking websites. Using many predefined graphical
designs and functional pages you will be able to create website
that you like in less than an hour. But this is not all. You
can add your own pictures and colors, and SiteStudio will make
sure that they will perfectly blend in with the design. Adding
cool java-script special effects will make your friends go "WOW."
Create private sections of the website, add splash pages, site
maps, create your own resume, or paste a pre-completed HTML
page. You can do all that, and at the end you will get a great
looking website. That is what the SiteStudio is for. |
1. SiteStudio will walk you step by step through the
creation of the website. First, select the category of your
website: |
2. Next, select the layout and coloring of your website.
This will affect how your website will look like. There are
many choices, but don't worry, you will be able to return and change your
layout & colors at any time. |
3. Once you selected how your website looks and feels,
you will be prompted for some information that will be used
across the website. You will also be asked for some "meta"
information, like website's keywords and description. This information
will be embedded into HTML pages, and used by search engines
for categorizing your website. |
4. Now it is the time to add pages to your website. You
will come back to this screen often to add more pages. And there
are many of them to choose from. Usually you will want to start
with "Splash" page or "About" page as your
first page for the website. Later on you will be able to add
"Resume", "Photo Album" or other pages.
Use "Your own HTML" page, if you want to paste in
a page you developed yourself. Or use "Generic Page"
if you don't really know where the page you want to add really
fits in. |
5. Once you selected the page you want to add, you will
be presented with the form. Fill in entries in that form, and
click 
button or 
tab. |
6.Now, lets talk about navigation. Take a look at the
top part of the SiteStudio:
This navigational bar allows you to go back and forth accross
the SiteStudio. Lets look at the buttons one by one.

"Add a Page"
allows you to add a new page to your website |
 |
By clicking on this button
you will be able to see, edit & delete pages that
currently comprise your website. |
 |
Use this button when
you want to reorder pages (order of buttons in the design),
or you want to make different page your index page. |
 |
This will take you to
the menu where you will be able to alter your site layout,
colors, global settings. It will also allow you to start
building your site anew. |
 |
Once you finished building
your website, click this button - and see your website
live. SiteStudio will upload all the necessary files
to your website. |
 |
If you want to finish
working with SiteStudio, click this button. You will
be able to continue working where you left off, next
time you log in. |

Use "view"
tab if you want to see how your page looks like |

Use "edit"
tab to edit content of your page. |
 |
Use "settings"
tab to alter colors & fonts for your website. You
will be able to add logo images to your design, make
your page "secure", and alter file name under
which page will be saved. |

Use "delete"
tab to delete the page. You can also delete page from
the "Site Map" section of SiteStudio |

7. Once you click on
tab you will see how your site will look like (There might be
a small delay, while images are generating). You can browse
your site, and switch from page to page by clicking on the buttons
and links. |
8. If you want to change appearance of the page you are
currently in, click on the
tab. You will be able to alter fonts, colors, roll-over effects,
or logo images in your design. |
9. Use SiteMap to navigate & manage your website.
You can view, edit, delete or change settings for any page from
the SiteMap |
10. You can save several versions of your website, and
then load them at any time. This is perfect when you want to
make some special changes to your website for the holidays and
get your "everyday" website back once they are over.
To get to this page click on "Site Setting" button,
and select "Load/Save Web Site |
